Construction and Welding Procedure

Precise, meticulous, and quick to reconnect the system.

Cable Route Survey

Inspect the terrain for cable laying and measure the distance. Assess the cause of cable breakage (if any) using an OTDR to determine the exact location in meters.

Construction Physics

The construction team carried out the cable laying, underground conduit installation, and secured the ODF boxes at both ends. They strictly adhered to the bending radius of the fiber optic cable.

Welding & Installation

Use a fiber optic fusion splicer to connect the optical fibers to the pigtail inside the ODF box. Secure the splice with heat shrink tubing. Install the converter.

Measurement, Testing & Handover

Use a fiber optic tester (red laser) or optical power meter to test for signal loss. Ensure the network/camera signal is stable and then hand over the system.

Multidisciplinary Application

Multidisciplinary Application

Fiber optic infrastructure is an indispensable foundation for large-scale systems.

Surveillance Camera System

Fiber optic cables connect camera towers located kilometers apart to the central security room. The 4K images are transmitted smoothly, without degradation or interference from high-voltage power lines.

Factory & Industrial Park

Establish an internal LAN network connecting factories and offices located far apart. Ensure that ERP software and production management systems operate continuously with Gigabit bandwidth.

High-Rise Buildings & Apartments

The vertical fiber optic backbone system transmits internet, television, and telephone data from the central server room (MDF) to the upper floors.

Toll Station/Port LAN Network

The harsh and expansive outdoor environment demands a waterproof and interference-resistant underground fiber optic transmission system for license plate recognition systems.

The Superior Advantages of Fiber Optic Infrastructure

The Superior Advantages of Fiber Optic Infrastructure

Why should businesses invest in fiber optic cables instead of traditional copper cables?

01

Superior Transmission Range

Cat6 copper network cables can only transmit signals up to 100m. Singlemode fiber optic cables can transmit signals over long distances, from a few kilometers to tens of kilometers, without signal degradation.

02

Complete Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

Fiber optic cables transmit signals using light through a glass core, and are unaffected by lightning strikes, substations, or industrial machinery emitting strong magnetic fields.

03

Massive Bandwidth

Easily upgrade speeds from 1Gbps to 10Gbps or even 40Gbps in the future by changing the terminal equipment at both ends, without needing to re-run new cables.

04

Absolute Security

Unlike copper cables, which emit electromagnetic signals that can be stolen, it is very difficult to 'eavesdrop' on information on fiber optic cables without being detected.

05

Long Lifespan

Fiber optic cables have a durable, UV-resistant, and rodent-proof outer sheath, allowing them to operate reliably for 10-20 years in harsh weather conditions.

Quang Duc's Technical Advantages

Professional fiber optic splicing service with high-end equipment.

Precision Welding Measurement Equipment

Invest in a Fujikura fiber optic fusion splicer and a high-end Yokogawa OTDR attenuation meter. This ensures precise splices with near-zero attenuation.

Fast Troubleshooting

We are prepared to respond to fiber optic cable outages at night and on weekends for factories and industrial zones to quickly restore internet connectivity.

Integrated Solutions

Beyond just splicing cables, we advise on Switch and Router configurations and provide complete internal LAN network solutions once the optical signal is established.

Basic Fiber Optic Knowledge

Basic Fiber Optic Knowledge

Concepts you need to know before deploying fiber optic cables.

The Difference Between Singlemode and Multimode Fiber Optic Cables

Singlemode (9µm core): Used for long distances (tens of km), high bandwidth, cable is usually yellow, cable cost is low but terminal equipment is expensive. Multimode (50µm core): Used for short distances (< 500m), extremely high speed, cable is usually orange/turquoise, cable cost is high but terminal equipment is cheaper.

What is Fiber Optic Attenuation?

This refers to the reduction in light output as it travels through the cable. This is caused by sharp bends in the cable, poor quality splices, or excessively long cables. If the attenuation exceeds the permissible limit (usually < -25dBm for Media Converters), the network signal or camera image will drop.

Which type of SFP module and media converter should I use?

Media converters are separate fiber optic converters that require a separate power supply, are inexpensive, and suitable for installation at camera towers. SFP modules are devices that plug directly into the SFP slot on a network switch, are compact, offer extremely high stability, and are suitable for installation in central control cabinets (server rooms).

Frequently Asked Questions

Answering questions about fiber optic cable installation and troubleshooting.

The cost of fiber optic cable splicing is calculated per 'splicing', ranging from 50,000 VND to 100,000 VND per splice depending on the number (the more splices, the cheaper the price). Additionally, there may be extra fees for travel or on-site installation if the cable break location is complex.

If the cable is completely broken, a technician will bring an OTDR (Optical Time Delay Device) to pinpoint the exact location of the break. Pulling a replacement cable and splicing the two ends together usually takes only 1 to 3 hours, depending on the terrain.

The FX light flashing red or off means the optical signal is lost. This could be due to a broken fiber optic cable, a loose connector, a power outage at the converter on the other end, or a dirty/broken fiber optic cable connector.

A 1000Mbps converter can simultaneously transmit data from 50 to 80 2MP IP cameras over a single fiber optic cable (1 core) without any lag.

Fiber optic cables transmit signals using light through a glass/plastic core, which is completely non-conductive. Therefore, the system is never susceptible to electrical leakage or damage from lightning strikes.

Copper LAN cables only provide stable transmission over distances under 100 meters. For a factory building 300 meters long, it is mandatory to run a 2FO or 4FO fiber optic cable and use a pair of fiber optic transceivers to ensure a smooth signal transmission to the central control panel.

Manual fiber optic cable crimping (Fast Connector) is quick and convenient, but has a short lifespan and high signal loss. Fiber optic cable splicing using a fiber optic fusion splicer provides permanent durability and near-zero signal loss. In industrial environments, the use of a fiber optic fusion splicer is mandatory.

We offer fiber optic cables for conduit installation with metal (steel tape) and rigid HDPE plastic sheathing, or specialized rodent-resistant cables, ensuring absolute protection of the optical core under underground conduits.
